Welcome to Clowns Without Borders International (CWBI)
Clowns Without Borders International is an independent, non-profit association dedicated to bringing joy and laughter
to communities in need. We operate in 13 countries worldwide and have no affiliations with religious or political organisations.
CWBI’s mission is to facilitate communication and cooperation among our global teams while preserving the identity and quality of our clowning work. Click on the button to read how it all started.

Quickly find answers to the most common questions about how to join, collaborate, or support Clowns Without Borders International.
Clowns Without Borders International (CWBI) is a non-operational umbrella organization that supports and connects 13 Clowns Without Borders chapters worldwide. CWBI's primary role is to facilitate communication and cooperation between these chapters.
As a result, individuals cannot join CWBI directly. However, you can connect with and potentially join one of our national Clowns Without Borders chapters in other countries. All of our chapters are independent organizations, and each one is referred to as a "Chapter."

For collaborations related to specific countries, we recommend contacting the respective national chapters directly. Their contact information is available on our website below. For questions and collaborations related to the international organization, you are welcomed to contact us on cwbi.coordination@gmail.com.
To start a new Clowns Without Borders chapter in your country, there must not be an existing chapter already. You will need to form a board with at least five members who will be responsible for the organization. We ask you to review our document ‘Roadmap: How New Chapters Join CWBI’ for a overall view of the process.
To request a performance or project, please reach out to the national chapter in your country. They are best equipped to organize local events and projects.
